Norwegian Language Teacher

Responsibilities

• Teach Norwegian (Bokmål or Nynorsk) via live one-on-one and group sessions on Google Meet
• Build engaging, personalized lesson plans suited to each student's level and purpose
• Help students develop speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills
• Deliver clear, motivating feedback to students
• Share Norwegian culture, traditions, and context
• Track student development and refine teaching approach

Requirements

• Native or near-native Norwegian speaker (Bokmål and/or Nynorsk)
• Patient, encouraging, and student-centered teaching approach
• Reliable internet connection and a quiet, professional workspace
• Computer with webcam and microphone for Google Meet lessons

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience teaching Norwegian as a second language (NOR2 or equivalent)
• Familiarity with Norwegian teaching certifications or curriculum frameworks
• Knowledge of student motivations such as heritage, relocation, or academics
• Ability to accommodate students in different time zones
