About the Company

Ashgro helps AI safety projects focus on AI safety by providing fiscal sponsorship. We handle accounting, management of grants and expenses, and HR, allowing projects to access more funding by housing them within a 501(c)(3) public charity.

Responsibilities

• Handle a variety of tasks ranging from basic ticket management and invoice uploads to high-level process documentation.
• Manage administrative tasks such as creating tickets, sending email templates, and transferring money to prize recipients.
• Execute well-defined tasks including preparing invoices for government entities and responding to fiscal sponsorship inquiries.
• Perform high-level work such as figuring out tax withholding processes and resolving grant-related cash flow issues.
• Advise project staff on expense compliance and implement legal advice provided by counsel.

Requirements

• Ability to communicate clearly and friendly in writing.
• High attention to detail when reading customer requests and documentation.
• Strong prioritization skills based on provided heuristics.
• Ability to follow established processes consistently.
• Capacity to learn new things quickly and recognize when to ask for help or escalate issues.

Preferred Qualifications

• Legal or financial background.
• Experience working at a US non-profit.
• Knowledge of AI safety topics.
• Strong knack for building rapport through written communication.
