About the role
Responsibilities
- Proactively grow the specialty pharmacy patient population through outbound phone calls
- Educate patients on the services offered by the Shields Specialty Pharmacy Program
- Access patient EMR and review chart notes to ensure familiarity with patient conditions
- Identify medications requiring special storage, handling, or necessary supplies
- Communicate the benefits of the Shields Partner Pharmacy program to eligible patients
Requirements
- Active national pharmacy technician certification (PTCB or NHA/ExCPT)
- 1 year of experience as a Pharmacy Technician or related experience
- High school diploma or GED required
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams)
- Ability to work shifts between 8:00 AM and 7:30 PM ET
- Strong verbal communication and phone skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior customer service or outbound call experience
- Ability to build rapport quickly with patients over the phone
