Patient Outreach Specialist Pharmacy Technician

Responsibilities

• Proactively grow the specialty pharmacy patient population through outbound phone calls
• Educate patients on the services offered by the Shields Specialty Pharmacy Program
• Access patient EMR and review chart notes to ensure familiarity with patient conditions
• Identify medications requiring special storage, handling, or necessary supplies
• Communicate the benefits of the Shields Partner Pharmacy program to eligible patients

Requirements

• Active national pharmacy technician certification (PTCB or NHA/ExCPT)
• 1 year of experience as a Pharmacy Technician or related experience
• High school diploma or GED required
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams)
• Ability to work shifts between 8:00 AM and 7:30 PM ET
• Strong verbal communication and phone skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior customer service or outbound call experience
• Ability to build rapport quickly with patients over the phone
