Payments Optimization Product Manager

Responsibilities

• Own retry and dunning strategy end to end across Scentbird brands
• Own decline and authorization rate performance at processor, gateway, region and BIN level
• Run the payments operating cadence and act as first responder on performance degradation
• Own recovery metrics: dunning recovery rate, authorization rate, chargeback rate, payment cost
• Partner with Financial Systems, CX, CRM and Retention on messaging and billing waves
• Report payment performance regularly to Product, Finance and leadership

Requirements

• 7+ years in payments, billing or subscription operations
• Direct ownership of dunning, retry or authorization rate outcomes
• Domain fluency: decline codes, MIT vs CIT, network tokens, account updater, chargeback lifecycle
• Hands-on configuration in a subscription billing platform and a gateway or PSP
• BI tooling skills for building your own payment analysis
• Ability to write engineering requirements with success metrics and acceptance criteria
• Measurement rigor to separate real lift from seasonality and mix shift
• Multi-brand, multi-currency and multi-country exposure

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in a PCI-DSS Level 1 environment
• Exposure to reconciliation, settlement or ERP finance work
• Subscription businesses with physical goods, logistics or inventory constraints
