About the Company
Epoch AI is a research institute that investigates trends in machine learning and the economic consequences of AI. Our mission is to develop a comprehensive, publicly accessible knowledge base on AI that informs policymakers, industry leaders, and society at large.
Responsibilities
- Own employee and contractor onboarding and offboarding processes
- Serve as a main point of contact for staff support regarding benefits, payroll, and policies
- Maintain the internal handbook containing staff guidance and processes
- Manage relationships with PEOs, EORs, and other HR service providers
- Track employee contracts and manage employment visa sponsorship processes
- Coordinate performance reviews and track compliance requirements across jurisdictions
- (Manager level) Design HR processes, drive strategic decisions on benefits, and mentor staff
What we look for

- Systems orientation
- Strong ownership skills
- Excellent communication skills
- 2+ years experience in people operations (Associate)
- 5+ years experience including people management (Manager)
- Strong organization and attention to detail
- Professional English proficiency
