Pharmacy Technician - Specialty

Responsibilities

• Serve as direct member and provider contact for specialty pharmacy benefit information and prior authorization requests
• Coordinate prior authorization, specialty fulfillment, patient assistance enrollment, and refills with partners
• Answer questions from members, HR departments, pharmacies, and providers on coverage, claims, and copay assistance
• Support Specialty Clinical Pharmacists with member and provider outreach and medication adherence
• Conduct quality reviews of calls, chats, and documentation to improve performance
• Ensure regulatory and privacy standards are met

Requirements

• Active Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT)
• 1-2 years as a pharmacy technician in a specialty pharmacy, PBM, health plan, or managed care setting
• Knowledge of pharmacy claims adjudication and benefit design terminology
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Detail-oriented, empathetic, and able to work independently

Preferred Qualifications

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree
• Bilingual in Spanish

• Compensation of $22.00 - $23.00 per hour, based on location, experience, and qualifications
