About the role
Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care focusing on evidence-based obesity treatment and chronic weight management
- Manage a personal patient panel and collaborate with Registered Dietitians
- Provide treatment planning and medical management support for complex cases
- Prescribe non-controlled obesity medications
- Ensure clinical documentation and treatment protocols are followed consistently
- Assist in the professional development of APPs through feedback and clinical support
- Participate in team-based care initiatives and quality improvement efforts
- Participate in a rotating after-hours call schedule
Requirements
- MD or DO degree with board certification
- ABOM diplomate or board certified in Endocrinology
- Licensed to practice and prescribe in AR, IA, KS, MN, MO, NE, ND, OK, SD, or WI
- Must hold an LOQ with the IMLC
- Experience with insurance payer credentialing
- Prior experience conducting telemedicine visits
- Experience working collaboratively with APPs and Registered Dietitians
- Spanish medical fluency is highly preferred
