Physician, Obesity Medicine

Responsibilities

• Provide direct telehealth patient care focusing on evidence-based obesity treatment and chronic weight management
• Manage an individual patient panel and collaborate with Registered Dietitians
• Develop treatment plans and provide medical management for complex or escalated cases
• Prescribe non-controlled obesity medications for patients under direct care
• Ensure consistent clinical documentation and adherence to protocols and treatment pathways
• Support professional development of advanced practice professionals through feedback and education
• Participate in team-based care initiatives, quality improvement efforts, and relevant departmental meetings
• Share rotating after-hours on-call coverage with clinical leadership

Requirements

• MD or DO degree with board certification
• American Board of Obesity Medicine (ABOM) diplomate
• Active medical license in AL, TN, OK, MO, IN, SC, or GA
• Current Letter of Qualification (LOQ) with the Interstate Medical Licensure Compact (IMLC)
• Credentialed with insurance payers
• Prior telemedicine experience with strong web-side manner
• Experience collaborating with advanced practice professionals and registered dietitians

Preferred Qualifications

• Medical fluency in Spanish
• Multiple state licenses
