About the role
Responsibilities
- Design and implement systems to provision and scale multi-region compute workloads
- Own compute orchestration: project creation, warm pools, autoscaling, resizing
- Improve automation and observability across the compute stack
- Optimize system architecture for cost, security, reliability and performance
- Participate in on-call rotations, incident response and post-incident reviews
- Resolve escalated support issues and systemic platform problems
Requirements
- Strong software engineering skills in Go and TypeScript
- 5+ years with cloud infrastructure, AWS required
- 3+ years building Kubernetes controllers and operating large clusters
- Knowledge of networking and multi-region infrastructure design
- Familiarity with Postgres
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools
Preferred Qualifications
- Pulumi experience
- GCP or Azure experience
- QEMU, KVM and NAS experience
- On-call experience for large production systems
