Platform Engineer

Responsibilities

• Manage underlying cloud and cluster technologies composing the internal platform
• Manage stateful backend services including databases and Bitcoin/LN nodes
• Utilize, operate, and extend observability tools for logging, monitoring, and tracing
• Improve platform robustness and security using operators and overlay networks
• Advise dev teams with integrations such as Helm charts, cloud resources, and the k8s lifecycle

Requirements

• Strong foundations in Linux, networking, security, cloud, and IaC
• Experience managing and troubleshooting Kubernetes clusters in production
• Experience operating and extending observability tools
• Proficiency in a systems programming language such as Go, Python, or Rust

Preferred Qualifications

• Advanced cloud technologies including GitOps, DevSecOps, and service mesh
• Database administration experience with PostgreSQL or etcd
• Knowledge of Bitcoin and the Lightning Network
• Familiarity contributing to open source projects
