Policy Communications Lead, Europe

Responsibilities

• Own and drive Mozilla's proactive media narrative on privacy, security, AI, open source and competition
• Place a steady cadence of thought leadership pieces with key audiences
• Build relationships with journalists, policymakers and advocacy organizations
• Craft press releases, op-eds, speeches and executive briefing documents
• Prepare spokespeople for high-stakes media and policy engagements
• Serve as escalation and counsel in high-risk or crisis policy scenarios

Requirements

• 5-10 years in policy communications, media relations or related roles
• Exceptional writing and editing skills
• Deep knowledge of technology policy issues
• Experience advising senior executives on high-stakes communications

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in both in-house and agency settings
• Additional languages, particularly French and German
• Prior experience in open-source, civil society or non-profit tech
