About the role
Responsibilities
- Serve as primary point of contact for healthcare and pharmaceutical clients
- Develop and implement PR strategies aligned with client business goals
- Lead and mentor account teams and junior staff
- Oversee PR campaign execution, timelines and measurable results
- Manage client budgets, staffing decisions and annual planning
- Develop media relationships in healthcare and pharmaceutical sectors
- Secure media coverage and manage media inquiries
- Oversee content development including press releases, articles and social posts
- Track campaign performance and provide client insights
- Contribute to new business proposals and pitches
Requirements
- Minimum 12 years PR experience, mostly agency setting
- At least 7 years in a team leadership role
- Experience managing, mentoring and reviewing teams
- Excellent written and verbal communication, AP style
- Understanding of healthcare and pharmaceutical media, FDA regulations
- Established media contacts and top-tier coverage track record
- Strong client service, coaching C-suite stakeholders
- Comfortable in a fully remote team environment
- Bachelor's degree required
