Principal Cloud Architect

Responsibilities

• Act as a trusted technical advisor to teams, customer executives, and technical leadership
• Define multi-year enterprise-wide strategy for cloud adoption, migration, and modernization on Google Cloud
• Establish global cloud governance frameworks, architectural standards, and reusable patterns
• Drive advanced DevOps practices and cloud cost optimization initiatives
• Architect and lead implementation of large-scale solutions using GKE, Cloud Dataflow, BigQuery, Cloud Run, Vertex AI, and Cloud Spanner
• Design integration patterns for hybrid and multi-cloud systems with secure IAM
• Define DevSecOps and cloud security posture to meet regulatory requirements like GDPR and HIPAA
• Lead PoC initiatives for emerging technologies like Generative AI
• Mentor and coach Senior/Lead Cloud Engineers
• Collaborate with Data & AI teams to align architectural decisions with product roadmaps

Requirements

• 5-10 years in Cloud Architecture leadership roles managing enterprise-scale transformations
• Mastery of Google Cloud services, networking, and security
• Deep architectural experience in AWS or Azure
• Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform
• Proficiency in at least one programming language (Java or Python)

Preferred Qualifications

• Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect certification
• Professional/Expert-level certification from a secondary cloud provider (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Professional)
