About the role
Responsibilities
- Design and build data ingestion pipelines for feature engineering and machine learning
- Create predictive features from healthcare data using statistics and data science
- Apply clustering, text analytics and PCA for feature extraction and selection
- Explore data to find patterns and match features with modeling approaches
- Build, tune and optimize statistical and machine learning models
- Ship production code following engineering best practices
- Document work and communicate insights to technical and non-technical audiences
- Maintain pipelines and processes for enterprise data science products
- Ensure data and output quality and integrity
- Partner with stakeholders, data scientists, data engineers and product managers
Requirements
- 6+ years across data science and machine learning
- Expert-level SQL and Python
- Hands-on work with structured and unstructured data
- Experience with relational and non-relational databases
- Familiarity with ETL and Apache Spark
- Experience with data visualization and monitoring tools
- Comfort with automated testing and CI/CD
- Experience with Docker
- Experience deploying to GCP or another cloud platform
Preferred Qualifications
- Consulting or professional services background
- Healthcare data domain knowledge
- Knowledge of HL7, FHIR or DICOM
