Principal Data Scientist

Responsibilities

• Lead the development and deployment of advanced machine learning solutions for personalized customer decisioning
• Drive best-in-class modeling, MLOps, and data engineering practices
• Build and deploy propensity models for cross-sell and upsell
• Develop Next Best Action / Next Best Offer engines
• Write production-grade ML pipelines and manage model versioning and experiment tracking
• Set up model monitoring, drift detection, and alerting systems
• Lead senior data scientists while remaining hands-on

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Econometrics, Actuarial Science, Maths/Statistics, or Computer Science
• 10 years of experience in a senior data scientist position
• Expert-level coding in Python
• Experience with distributed computing (Spark, Dask, Ray)
• Proficiency with tools like Airflow, MLflow, or Kubeflow
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure) and data warehouses (Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift)
• Strong SQL skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with R or Scala
• Experience with LLMs, embeddings, prompt engineering, and vector databases
• Strong analytics experience in the banking sector
