Responsibilities

• Lead through ambiguity and drive consequential initiatives from uncertainty to measurable outcomes
• Improve architecture, platforms, and engineering practices to enhance scalability and simplicity
• Shape technical direction and align teams around technical strategy
• Raise the effectiveness of senior engineers through coaching and reusable patterns
• Own high-leverage engineering problems across various teams and domains
• Use code, architecture, and data to build context and credibility
• Utilize AI tools to accelerate development and shipping

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field
• 10+ years of professional software engineering experience
• Experience operating at Staff, Principal, or equivalent scope
• Significant experience designing and operating complex production systems
• Proven track record of increasing scope and leverage beyond immediate teams
• Ability to thrive in a remote environment with high self-direction
• Strong communication and proactive problem-solving skills
