Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the definition of the Global Services product vision and strategy
  • Conduct thorough market research and customer analysis
  • Define and own Percona’s Services portfolio roadmap
  • Identify customer needs and opportunities
  • Design new Services products and features, and enhance existing Services products
  • Ensure the successful launch of new Services products
  • Own the implementation of new product launch (education, pricing/SKU updates, etc)
  • Be accountable for the growth and adoption of Services products
  • Own the complete Services product lifecycle from incubation to sunsetting
  • Develop and maintain relationships with strategic customer contacts
  • Act as a sales support resource and evangelist for opportunities related to Services products
  • Work with Product and Engineering teams to integrate the services and software customer experience
  • Analyze product performance including revenue, adoption and customer satisfaction

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of Product Management experience, preferably in service offerings within a software ecosystem
  • Experience with open-source software, services, and communities
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate with both internal team members and external customers effectively
  • Utilized metrics and data to make informed decisions and generate actionable insights
  • Experience working with a geographically distributed remote team

Preferred Qualifications

  • Hands-on experience working with one or more of the following: MySQL, PostgreSQL, or MongoDB and related technologies
  • Strong understanding of the needs and challenges users and customers face when deploying MySQL, MariaDB, MongoDB, PostgreSQL and/or other databases
  • Strong public speaking skills with an ability to evangelize
  • Start-up/scale-up experience, with an appreciation of the dynamics of a growing services and software company
