Project Claims & Commercial Controls Manager

Responsibilities

• Partner with project teams to identify scope changes, schedule impacts, and engineering changes requiring commercial action
• Oversee the change order process to ensure timely submission and adherence to commercial deadlines
• Support the development of Extension of Time (EOT) requests, equitable adjustment proposals, and cost recovery claims
• Perform schedule delay, disruption, and cost impact analyses to support negotiations and dispute resolution
• Proactively identify commercial, contractual, financial, and operational risks impacting project performance
• Support Cost-to-Complete (CTC) reviews regarding change order impacts
• Lead or support negotiations involving change orders, claims, and contract disputes
• Establish commercial controls, governance processes, and documentation standards
• Coach project teams on contract compliance and commercial awareness

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business, Finance, Quantity Surveying, Law, or related field
• 10+ years of experience in project-based industries in commercial management, claims, contracts, or project controls
• Strong background in customer change orders, claims management, and contract administration
• Experience with project financial controls, budgeting, forecasting, and CTC management
• Working knowledge of industry-standard contracts such as FIDIC, NEC, or AIA
• Ability to travel to project sites and customer locations as required

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in material handling, automation, systems integration, industrial construction, or manufacturing
• Expertise in delay and disruption analysis
• Strong executive communication and presentation skills
• Proficiency in supplier and subcontractor commercial management
