Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner

Responsibilities

• Conduct psychiatric evaluations and medication management visits via telehealth for perinatal and peri/menopause patients
• Provide pre-conception medication consultation and psycho-education for individuals trying to conceive
• Perform asynchronous caseload consultations by reviewing clinical information and medical records from the care team
• Complete documentation for consultations and direct visits within 24 hours
• Oversee assigned patient caseload using the care registry and prioritize patients for review and treatment adjustment
• Provide educational support to care teams on diagnosing and managing behavioral health conditions
• Offer ad hoc telephone, email, or telehealth consultations to OB providers for complex patients during business hours

Requirements

• Independently licensed psychiatric nurse practitioner in Connecticut
• Active DEA license in state(s) of licensure
• Ability to practice independently without supervision
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively in a team setting
• Experience or interest in perinatal, perimenopause, or collaborative care mental health
