About the role
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the client billing process for diagnostic laboratory services
- Oversee the review and resolution of disputed, pending, and aging invoice balances
- Ensure invoices are managed in accordance with client and regulatory standards
- Partner with internal teams and external billing vendors to resolve complex issues
- Coordinate new client setup and pricing within billing software
- Monitor accounts receivable performance and operational metrics
- Lead, coach, and develop the Client Billing team
- Analyze invoice trends and implement process improvements
- Prepare regular reports on client activities and reimbursement trends
- Coordinate system implementations and upgrades related to billing workflows
- Develop and maintain client billing-related policies and procedures
Requirements
- Associate's degree in healthcare administration, business, finance, or equivalent experience
- 5-7 years of experience in laboratory billing, insurance claims, client billing, or revenue cycle management
- Strong understanding of insurance claim processes, healthcare regulations, HIPAA, and compliance requirements
- Strong critical thinking skills to identify root causes and resolve complex issues
- Advanced knowledge of service requirements, adjudication processes, dispute management, and reimbursement methodologies
