About the role
Responsibilities
- Recruit, hire, coach, mentor, and develop Key Account Managers to elevate performance
- Lead and coordinate in-field sales activities and frequent travel to maximize territory performance
- Set clear performance expectations and hold team members accountable through regular coaching and reviews
- Translate market insights into actionable strategies for regional and territory growth
- Ensure team compliance with promotional guidelines, budgets, and regulatory policies
- Maintain technical expertise to support customer and team inquiries
- Lead training, meetings, and development programs
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or higher
- 10 years of pharmaceutical/biotech sales experience, including institutional sales
- 5 years of experience leading a pharmaceutical sales team with a proven track record of regional success
- Rare disease experience
- Strong knowledge of legal and pharmaceutical guidelines
- Ability to travel extensively within and external to assigned Area
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience launching products in start-up or high-growth environments
- Neuromuscular sales experience
