About the role
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute annual business plans to achieve revenue and market share objectives across Africa
- Manage and optimize distributor and channel partner relationships
- Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders including pathologists and laboratory directors
- Lead strategic account planning and complex negotiations
- Maintain a robust sales funnel and ensure accurate forecasting through SFDC
- Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing regional sales team
- Drive adoption of Leica Biosystems solutions across Histology and Digital Pathology portfolios
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences, Medical Laboratory Sciences, or related field
- Significant experience in multinational medical diagnostics or healthcare industries
- Proven track record of achieving commercial targets
- Experience managing distributor networks in Africa
- Strong consultative and value-based selling capabilities
- Proficiency with CRM systems, preferably Salesforce
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in Histopathology, Immunohistochemistry (IHC), or Digital Pathology
- Previous responsibility for multiple African markets
- More than 5 years of experience in managing teams
- MBA or advanced business qualification
