Responsibilities

• Serve as a subject matter expert on electricity and the future of energy
• Contribute to the Axios Future of Energy daily newsletter and special sends
• Cover topics including solar power, batteries, and grid upgrades
• Act as a public authority on stage and other platforms to illuminate energy issues
• Translate complex grid issues into engaging stories for readers

Requirements

• Reporting experience in a fast-paced news environment
• Demonstrated experience landing scoops and conceptualizing big ideas
• Strong writing skills for online platforms and newsletters
• Ability to command a stage and conduct live interviews
• Experience working across teams to produce quality content
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Commitment to Smart Brevity writing style
