About the role
Responsibilities
- Provide a warm and friendly welcome, leading guests and seating them at their table
- Take telephone bookings and maintain a clear and organized reservations
- Assist in the set-up of tables and displays
- Maintain and update guest database
- Ensure full knowledge and understanding of LQA and Hotel Standards
- Resolve guest complaints and report incidents to management
- Support the service team during peak times in various areas
- Maintain cleanliness of hostess station, surrounding areas, and menus
- Effectively control guest flow in the restaurant to ensure maximum turnover
- Perform cashiering functions if needed
Requirements
- 1 year of Hotel experience in F&B
- Secondary education
- Excellent reading, writing, and oral proficiency in English
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to establish rapport with guests
- Computer knowledge including Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Well-presented and professionally groomed
