Restaurant Hostess

Responsibilities

• Provide a warm and friendly welcome, leading guests and seating them at their table
• Take telephone bookings and maintain a clear and organized reservations
• Assist in the set-up of tables and displays
• Maintain and update guest database
• Ensure full knowledge and understanding of LQA and Hotel Standards
• Resolve guest complaints and report incidents to management
• Support the service team during peak times in various areas
• Maintain cleanliness of hostess station, surrounding areas, and menus
• Effectively control guest flow in the restaurant to ensure maximum turnover
• Perform cashiering functions if needed

Requirements

• 1 year of Hotel experience in F&B
• Secondary education
• Excellent reading, writing, and oral proficiency in English
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to establish rapport with guests
• Computer knowledge including Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
• Well-presented and professionally groomed
