About the role
Responsibilities
- Investigate and resolve external theft including shoplifting and organized retail crime
- Gather, analyze, and evaluate intelligence on criminal groups
- Document information to aid in successful prosecution
- Provide guidance to store Asset Protection teams on investigative plans
- Operate store CCTV systems and conduct undercover surveillance
- Act as a liaison with local, state, and federal law enforcement agencies
- Represent Weis Markets in court hearings and mediations
- Travel to multiple locations within an assigned area to provide support
- Support stores during significant business disruptions such as robbery or natural disasters
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice, Criminology, Business, or a related field preferred
- One year of retail loss prevention experience in a retail store environment
