About the Company

Games for Love (GFL) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that works to ease suffering, save lives, and create sustainable futures for children. We believe in the concept of "distraction therapy" and bring the joy of gaming into the lives of our junior gamers in hospitals around the country.

Responsibilities

• Engage with the community by posting volunteer achievements, milestones, birthdays, and anniversaries in recognition channels
• Maintain a positive atmosphere to promote volunteer retention
• Implement recognition initiatives and plan volunteer appreciation online events
• Find innovative ways to recognize volunteers through awards, certificates, and social media accolades
• Ensure recognition is diverse, inclusive, and culturally aware
• Seek volunteer feedback through satisfaction surveys to improve operations
• Provide updates to the marketing team for the newsletter

Requirements

• Ability to donate 5-10 hours per week for 12 months
• High School diploma and 2 years of experience working with volunteers, or a Bachelor's degree in a related field
• Proficiency with Discord
• Proficiency with Google Workspace
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work autonomously and within a cross-functional team

Preferred Qualifications

• Two years of experience in a progressive non-profit organization
• Experience inspiring others to act in service to a community
