About the role
Responsibilities
- Process release of information requests in a timely and efficient manner
- Retrieve, scan, and transmit medical records accurately
- Validate requests and authorizations for medical information release
- Perform quality checks to ensure accuracy, confidentiality, and proper invoicing
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA and state/federal regulations
- Provide excellent customer service to clients and stakeholders
Requirements
- High School Diploma (GED) required
- Minimum 2 years experience in medical records preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
- Ability to type 50 wpm
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills
- Experience using fax, copier, and scanning equipment
