About the role
Responsibilities
- Solve and validate Rust backend problems involving APIs, persistence, concurrency and performance
- Translate requirements into reproducible implementation and testing workflows
- Design, review and assess backend architectures for production readiness
- Prepare Rust workspaces, test fixtures and containerized development environments
- Debug complex backend issues and evaluate asynchronous and concurrent systems
- Produce clear technical explanations and artifacts supporting AI training and evaluation
Requirements
- Strong hands-on Rust proficiency from substantial professional or open-source work
- Backend service design, APIs, data persistence and production architecture
- Asynchronous programming, concurrency, error handling and performance optimization
- Rust workspaces, dependency management and backend tooling
- Strong debugging and clear written communication
- About 15 hours per week, starting within 24-48 hours of onboarding
