About the role
Responsibilities
- Harden and extend Rust block production, validation and finality components
- Work on state storage, sync, pruning and snapshot tooling
- Own Rust P2P paths: discovery, gossip, backpressure and faulty-peer handling
- Profile node hot paths and add CI benchmarks for performance regressions
- Work with SRE on validator and RPC reliability, runbooks and observability
Requirements
- Public Rust code you wrote, linked from GitHub, GitLab or crates.io
- Production Rust: ownership, lifetimes, async (Tokio) and debugged concurrency
- Hands-on work in a real blockchain or distributed-consensus codebase
- Networking depth in libp2p, QUIC or gossip protocols
- Linux performance tooling and a CI pipeline that builds and tests Rust
Preferred Qualifications
- Contributions to rust-libp2p, Substrate, reth, Lighthouse, Agave or similar
- Experience with light clients, state sync or storage engines
- IBC or cross-chain message handling
- Public design doc, talk, paper or post-mortem
