About the role
Responsibilities
- Own identity and access management program
- Harden and improve cloud-native environments (GCP-first)
- Manage vulnerability management programs and risk-based prioritization
- Build detection coverage for identity, cloud, and SaaS
- Lead or co-lead high-severity incidents and run post-incident reviews
- Secure AI footprint and agent identity
- Design and ship agentic security workflows to reduce manual toil
- Implement security automation via ChatOps and Slack-native operations
Requirements
- 5+ years in security engineering
- Hands-on identity operations experience (SSO/SAML/OIDC, MFA)
- Experience securing cloud-first or cloud-native environments (GCP preferred)
- Scripting and automation ability in Python or Go
- Incident response experience as a primary responder or lead
- Familiarity with prescriptive control frameworks (ISO 27XXX, CMMC, FedRAMP)
- Strong written communication for an async, Slack-heavy environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Deep GCP expertise (VPC Service Controls, workload identity federation)
- Experience securing or building agentic systems or MCP servers
- Detection engineering and SIEM experience
- Prior experience at a security product company
- Experience with CMMC, FedRAMP, SOC 2, or ISO 27001
- Relevant certifications (GCP Professional Cloud Security Engineer, GIAC, OSCP)
- Open source contributions or published research
What we look for

- Depth in IAM, cloud security, or vulnerability management
- Hands-on identity operations experience
- Experience securing cloud-native environments
- Scripting and automation ability (Python, Go)
- Incident response experience
- Enthusiasm for AI and LLM/agent frameworks
