About the role
Responsibilities
- Manage and monitor security functions for daily operations to ensure safety and security
- Monitor ramp, airside, check-in, and aircraft restricted zones
- Control access through verification of airport passes and travel documents
- Conduct physical searches on personnel and items using X-Ray and metal detectors
- Respond to and assist in handling emergencies, technical delays, and disruptions
- Report security incidents and dangerous goods related incidents to management and authorities
- Monitor baggage handling systems and resolve customer complaints
- Ensure security of held baggage and escort valuable cargo
- Monitor adherence of handling agents to company policies and regulatory requirements
Requirements
- Higher diploma or equivalent in any discipline
- Basic Airport Safety and Security procedures training
- IATA Dangerous Goods Regulations training or certificate
- 3 years of relevant experience in Airlines/Aviation industry
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a supervisory role
- Good Microsoft Office skills
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Good English language skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with low cost airlines
- Experience in Cargo, Ramp, Dispatch, DGR, and Load Control
- Experience monitoring service level agreements (SLAs)
- Familiarity with QA/Safety/Security/Audit procedures
- Proven skills in analyzing data and identifying irregularities
