Senior Accountant

Responsibilities

• Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable and general ledger activities
• Record and review journal entries and financial transactions
• Prepare financial statements and periodic financial reports
• Perform bank, supplier, customer and general ledger reconciliations
• Manage month-end and year-end closing activities
• Monitor receivables, payables and account balances
• Analyse financial data, investigate variances and support budgeting and forecasting
• Coordinate internal and external audits and ensure compliance with accounting standards

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field
• Minimum 5 years of relevant accounting experience
• Mandatory experience in a shipping company or ship management organisation
• Strong knowledge of general accounting, financial reporting and reconciliations
• Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting/ERP systems
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail

Preferred Qualifications

• CMA, CPA or CFA certification
