About the role
Responsibilities
- Complete month-end close tasks, journal entries, accruals and amortization schedules
- Support revenue recognition and deferred revenue under ASC 606
- Reconcile bank, intercompany and balance sheet accounts monthly
- Prepare and file multistate sales/use, income and franchise tax returns
- Manage the annual audit, including PBC schedules and audit adjustments
- Oversee or support AR and AP, cash application and vendor payments
- Support ERP migration, data conversion and testing
Requirements
- 3+ years progressive accounting experience
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting
- Strong US GAAP knowledge, especially ASC 606
- Hands-on experience with a cloud ERP such as Certinia or NetSuite
- Highly proficient in Excel
- Experience managing external audits and multistate tax filings
Preferred Qualifications
- CPA license
- Experience in education technology or SaaS
- Master's in Accounting or Taxation
