About the role
Responsibilities
- Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, prepayments, and adjustments
- Manage general ledger, bank, and intercompany reconciliations
- Maintain fixed asset registers including depreciation schedules
- Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable processes
- Lead month-end and year-end closing activities in line with IFRS
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports and variance analysis
- Support management reports, cash flow forecasts, and budgeting
- Act as key contact for external and internal audits
- Ensure compliance with statutory requirements and tax filings
- Identify and implement improvements to accounting processes and automation
- Guide and review the work of junior accounting staff
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- Minimum 5 years of progressive accounting experience
- Strong technical knowledge of IFRS accounting standards
- Proficiency in ERP systems (Oracle Fusion preferred)
- Advanced Excel skills
- Experience in a multinational group or large corporate environment preferred
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in Accounting or Finance
- Professional qualification such as ACCA, CA, or CPA
