Senior Accountant

Responsibilities

• Perform daily AP and AR activities in compliance with company processes
• Prepare and reconcile month-end AP and AR reports
• Monitor customer receivables and follow up where required
• Create purchase orders and match them to vendor invoices
• Maintain the fixed assets register
• Perform cash management and monitor bank balances and cash flow
• Prepare month-end bank reconciliations and coordinate bank bonds, guarantees and letters of credit
• Record project transactions in the general ledger under IFRS and Masdar policies
• Manage monthly, quarterly and annual closing processes and group reporting
• Manage payroll functions and accounting processes
• Prepare management reports and financial analyses
• Maintain project accounts and monitor project costs against budget

Requirements

• 8-10 years in bookkeeping, AP/AR, cash management, UAE VAT, financial and management reporting
• Sound knowledge of accounting principles, standards and regulations
• Proficiency with Oracle ERP and Microsoft 365, with expertise in Excel
• Strong data management and analysis skills
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience in renewable energy projects
