About the role
Responsibilities
- Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with IFRS
- Monitor project costs, revenue recognition, and profitability for construction projects
- Oversee AP/AR processes including invoice verification and collection follow-ups
- Review monthly payroll, allowances, and overtime in coordination with HR
- Ensure compliance with UAE VAT regulations and prepare VAT returns
- Monitor daily cash flow, bank balances, and liquidity requirements
- Support the implementation and optimization of ERP systems
- Train and supervise junior accountants
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Minimum 10 years of accounting experience
- At least 5 years of experience in the construction or contracting industry
- Strong understanding of project accounting and cost control
- Experience with ERP systems such as Oracle, SAP, Microsoft Dynamics, or Tally
- Proficiency in MS Excel
- Strong knowledge of IFRS and UAE VAT regulations
Preferred Qualifications
- Professional certifications such as CPA, ACCA, or CMA
