About the role
Responsibilities
- Review journal entries and balance-sheet reconciliations for accuracy
- Record revenue, IPCs, variations, and client billings in line with IFRS
- Execute month-end and year-end close activities including accruals
- Control subcontractor and supplier accounting, advances, and retentions
- Prepare monthly project P&Ls, WIP schedules, and cost-to-complete reports
- Manage project cost accounting, budget vs actuals, and margin tracking
- Enforce accounting controls and support audit readiness
- Support project-based cash-flow forecasting and management reporting
- Support preparation of monthly and annual financial statements
- Liaise with auditors and regulatory authorities
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field
- 10+ years of experience in accounting for contracting companies
- Hands-on experience with procurement cycles, subcontractors, and retentions
- Proficient in ERP systems and advanced Excel
- Strong working knowledge of IFRS (WIP, revenue recognition)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Professional certification (CPA, ACCA, or equivalent)
