About the role
Responsibilities
- Provide operational advisory on high-risk clients, including EDD cases and screening alerts
- Present risk recommendations to the MLRO and DMLRO
- Investigate alerts and draft STR/SARs for MLRO decisions
- Lead or contribute to updates of the local compliance framework
- Perform second line quality assurance testing of CDD/EDD and screening decisions
- Perform regulatory watch and gap analysis against UAE requirements
- Draft training material and run scenario-based training for business units
Requirements
- 5+ years in a compliance function in banking or payments
- Knowledge of KYC, AML/CFT and sanctions
- Working knowledge of the UAE regulatory environment
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
- Strong spoken and written English
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience in Compliance Advisory
- CBUAE-regulated business experience
- ACAMS, ICA Diploma or equivalent
