Senior Analytics Engineer

Responsibilities

• Drive data warehouse strategy and performance, including modeling standards and query performance
• Own Silver- and Gold-layer modeling in dbt to build clean, documented, and tested models
• Build and govern the semantic layer to establish a single source of truth for metric definitions
• Lead BI tooling strategy and enablement to standardize the stack and build governed data products
• Partner with stakeholders and analysts to translate business questions into durable models
• Troubleshoot data quality and consistency issues across transformation and consumption layers
• Contribute to platform evolution by identifying opportunities to optimize or scale analytics infrastructure

Requirements

• 5-7+ years of data/analytics engineering experience, including 2+ years in a senior capacity
• Expert proficiency with SQL and data modeling tools like dbt, dataform, or SQLMesh
• Strong command of dimensional modeling and medallion/layered architectures
• Hands-on depth with cloud data warehouses such as Snowflake or BigQuery
• Experience with a semantic/metrics layer (e.g., dbt Semantic Layer, Cube, or LookML)
• Proficiency with modern BI tools (e.g., Hex, Sigma, Tableau, or Looker)
• Working proficiency with Python for transformation and automation
• Strong proficiency with Git and version control
• Demonstrated fluency with AI-assisted development tools

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with digital marketing data or the multifamily/real estate industry
• Experience leading or contributing to a data warehouse migration
• Experience operating a semantic layer or large dbt project at scale
• Experience with BI write-back, reverse ETL, or finance-focused analytics
