About the role
Responsibilities
- Data Modeling & Architecture: Model complex business processes and design/refine data models.
- Data Pipelines: Design, build, and maintain scalable ELT/ETL workflows using Apache Airflow and dbt.
- Monitoring: Ensure data quality and reliability and manage data lineage.
- Build for History: Design and implement historical tracking for accurate reporting.
- Data Governance: Establish and maintain governance standards and best practices.
- Workflow Streamlining: Implement best practices using DBT and Airflow.
- Data Models: Build models for the metrics layer/semantic layer.
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional full-time experience in Analytics Engineering/BI/Warehouse Modelling.
- Expert in SQL with a strong ability to write performant, readable, and DRY code.
- Extensive experience with dbt for managing the transformation layer.
- Strong understanding of data warehousing, particularly with BigQuery.
- Experience with version control (Git), orchestration (Airflow), and BI tools (Metabase, Tableau, Looker).
- Knowledge of Dimensional Modeling using Kimball or Star Schema methodology.
- Proficiency in Python for scripting and data manipulation.
- Hands-on experience with data orchestration tools.
