About the role
Responsibilities
- Lead complex technical implementations, shaping data architecture and transformation pipelines
- Drive adoption of best practices for dbt development, testing, and CI/CD
- Partner with analysts, engineers, and stakeholders to translate business requirements into data models
- Lead end-to-end delivery of analytics engineering workstreams
- Mentor peers through code reviews and technical guidance
Requirements
- Expert proficiency in dbt
- Expert proficiency in data modeling (e.g., Kimball, OBT)
- Expert proficiency with at least one cloud data warehouse (e.g., Snowflake, BigQuery)
- Expert proficiency with version control and git
- Proficiency in SQL and Python
- Experience with BI platforms like PowerBI or Sigma
- Knowledge of data integration patterns (CDC, ELT)
- Knowledge of orchestration platforms (Fivetran, Dagster, Airflow)
- Professional proficiency in English
Preferred Qualifications
- Strong analytical instincts for spotting patterns and anomalies
- Experience with event-driven data pipelines or pub/sub architectures
- Experience using AI or automation tools to enhance workflows
