Responsibilities

• Serve as the senior technical lead for key components of the behavioral science system
• Lead the development of just-in-time adaptive intervention design systems in partnership with the AI Team
• Own the decision logic that determines system engagement for users
• Own the statistical and causal-inference architecture to determine intervention effectiveness
• Specify attribution schemes and define instrumentation requirements for Engineering
• Partner with ML teams on recommendation and causal-inference architecture
• Contribute to academic publishing

Requirements

• Senior-level expertise in applied behavioral science
• Data science-level rigor combined with behavior change theory
• Hands-on expertise in building decisioning systems
• Experience collecting and working with behavioral data
• Expertise in causal inference and adaptive experimentation
• Ability to translate complex theories into practical, sprint-compatible infrastructure
