Senior Associate, Regional Treasury

Responsibilities

• Own and enhance daily safeguarding oversight for merchant funds in the MENA region, including calculations, reconciliations, and balance transfers
• Support compliance with CBUAE framework and other regional regulatory requirements
• Monitor, investigate, and escalate safeguarding exceptions, control failures, and breaches
• Analyse end-to-end payment and fund-flow models to identify regulatory impacts
• Design and maintain daily safeguarding management information and reporting
• Develop and maintain regional Treasury policies, procedures, and operating controls
• Support internal/external audits and regulatory reviews by preparing evidence and tracking actions
• Partner cross-functionally on new product launches and market expansions
• Contribute to Treasury governance and reporting for the regional Asset Liability Committee
• Support cash management, liquidity, capital, and Treasury Markets decisions
• Execute and oversee Treasury payments including merchant settlements and intercompany movements

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of experience in Treasury or related financial services
• Direct experience in safeguarding and customer-funds protection
• Hands-on experience in a regulated financial institution, EMI, PSP, or bank
• Working knowledge of UAE payments regulation (CBUAE framework preferred)
• Practical experience executing high-volume payments and settlements
• Treasury knowledge in cash management, liquidity forecasting, and FX execution
• Proficiency with Treasury management systems or market data platforms (e.g., FXAll, Kyriba)
• Strong quantitative and analytical skills for model building and data investigation
• Excellent English communication and presentation skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience applying safeguarding requirements specifically in the UAE
• Arabic language skills
