Senior Backend Developer

Founded in 2019, Utorg builds the infrastructure for stablecoin payments: on- and off-ramps, self-custodial wallets, and crypto cards. Over 2 million users across 130+ countries already buy, hold, and spend crypto through our app.

Responsibilities

• Own backend architecture across two large-scale microservice platforms
• Lead complex integrations with payment providers, card issuers, and blockchain networks
• Drive performance and scalability through caching strategies and database optimization
• Shape technical direction and influence engineering standards
• Build and improve AI-powered processes using LLM-based systems
• Contribute to back-office React-based admin dashboards

Requirements

• 5+ years of production experience in backend development with TypeScript/Node.js
• Production blockchain experience with on-chain transactions and HD wallets
• Experience with AI-driven development and optimizing workflows with LLMs

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with NATS JetStream
• Knowledge of observability tools like OpenTelemetry or Prometheus
• Fintech domain knowledge including PCI DSS and KYC/AML
