About the role
Responsibilities
- Lead, manage and mentor the bid team within governance processes
- Oversee the full bid lifecycle from qualification to contract award
- Develop bespoke solutions, value propositions and win strategies
- Facilitate bid/no-bid qualification processes
- Support the Director of Capture in developing capture strategies
- Manage partnerships with subcontractors and consortia
- Write and review persuasive, compliant bid narratives
- Maintain the bid library and drive continuous improvement
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
- Six or more years leading bid and proposal activities for government or defence clients
- Understanding of military procurement and defence acquisition processes
- Experience as a bid writer
- Experience with rapid-turnaround RFPs, ITTs and RFIs
- Four or more years of line management of bid teams
- Fluent English
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree
- Knowledge of German, French, Spanish, Portuguese or Arabic
- Training in bid and capture best practices
