About the role
About the Company
Founded and headquartered in Singapore, we are a Global Energy Trading Company that provides bunker trading services, energy trading services and logistics services to ship owners, charterers and other players in the shipping community.
Responsibilities
- Operate company’s representative office as a separate P/L
- Sell based on existing client base and personal relationships
- Develop new business through market analysis and monitoring global demand
- Perform active brokering and trading to ensure optimum rates for clients and the company
- Prepare and process quotations, sales enquiries, sales confirmations, and contracts
- Monitor customer payments and manage collections
- Manage claims and assist with legal actions involving customers or suppliers
Requirements
- Previous experience in a Bunker Trader position with an International Bunker Trading Company or Physical Supplier
- Degree qualification or equivalent in Shipping
- Strong negotiation skills and understanding of the shipping industry
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
- Excellent communication and sales techniques
- Ability to maintain CRM systems and general administrative skills
- Ability to work flexible hours and in a multicultural environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Existing client base in the marine industry
- Proven track record of managing a P/L
