Senior Category Manager – Sports Equipment & Accessories - English (UAE)

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary subject-matter expert for the UAE sporting goods landscape
• Execute seller acquisition and onboarding for specialized sports retailers and brand distributors
• Coach sellers on running high-converting livestreams and gear demonstrations
• Manage day-to-day marketplace operations and partner with internal product and marketing teams
• Oversee category growth and community building through niche gear drops and influencer collaborations
• Maintain active presence at regional sports expos and fitness events
• Take complete business ownership of the vertical, including category KPIs and P&L

Requirements

• Full professional fluency in English; Arabic fluency is preferred
• 3+ years of experience in the sports, fitness, or outdoor equipment industry
• Deep knowledge of technical product specifications and local specialty retail players
• Established relationships with sporting goods distributors or fitness brands in the UAE
• Strong project management skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience in a sports e-commerce marketplace or sporting goods retailer in the GCC
• Passionate active personal engagement in core focus areas like cycling, golf, or camping
• Personal history with live commerce or community platforms
