Senior Category Manager – Wholesale & Asset Auctions - English (UAE)

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary subject-matter expert for the UAE auction and wholesale asset landscape
• Execute partner acquisition and onboarding for key auction authorities and liquidation firms
• Coach traditional auctioneers and wholesale liquidators on digital bidding experiences
• Manage day-to-day marketplace operations and coordinate with product, legal, and compliance teams
• Oversee category growth and community building through live auction events and marketing campaigns
• Maintain active industry presence at regional asset sales and equipment showcases
• Take complete business ownership of the vertical, including category KPIs and P&L

Requirements

• Full professional fluency in English; Arabic fluency is highly advantageous
• 3+ years of experience in commercial auctions, wholesale liquidations, or B2B re-commerce in the UAE
• Deep understanding of auction laws, valuation methodologies, and bidding mechanics
• Established relationships with commercial auction houses and government asset liquidation departments in the UAE
• Strong project management skills for managing complex sales cycles and regulatory requirements

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience with major UAE auction houses or government asset disposal departments
• Experience transitioning offline auction formats to digital live-streaming environments
• Experience managing live digital auctions or B2B surplus marketplaces
