About the role
Responsibilities
- Lead stakeholder engagement strategies advancing World Bank Group priorities in the region
- Build and maintain relationships with governments, development partners, private sector, civil society and media
- Lead advocacy and communications campaigns and oversee speeches, op-eds and press materials
- Serve as senior advisor on reputational risk and issue management
- Advance One World Bank Group collaboration across IBRD, IDA, IFC and MIGA
- Mentor junior staff across the regional communications network
Requirements
- Master's degree with at least 8 years of relevant experience
- Experience in international environments and global development issues
- Strategic communications, stakeholder engagement or reputational risk management experience
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
- Strong analytical and editing skills
- Ability to work under pressure in politically sensitive situations
Preferred Qualifications
- Understanding of World Bank Group operations and development finance
- Proficiency in Arabic or other regional languages
- Experience in fragile, conflict-affected and violent contexts
